We stayed with friends in Yarmouth over the long Presidents' Day weekend. I went looking to catch a snowflake striper or winter flounder. South of the Cape winter flounder are out of season until March 1st. North of the Cape they are in season year round. 90% of stripers migrate towards Chesapeake Bay. The rest winter deep in estuaries or lurk around warm power plant outflows.
