The Quinapoxet River was stocked this week so I decided to put on my waders and try some fly fishing with a woolly bugger, and drifting a single sinking salmon egg at one of the bridges on River Street. I do not know how many or what locations were stocked. All of sudden there were fishermen everywhere, but none of them, that I saw, were catching any stockies at this location, including myself. They were using inline spinners, nightcrawlers, and PowerBait on slip weight spinning rigs. Next time I think I'll try fly fishing the Cable Pool for stream born trout.
